FAQs:
What happens in a Rumble Tumble class? Our program is about fun fitness through a child's natural desire to want to tumble and play. Our classes are longer than most because we want to provide time for a good workout and enough time for fun without hurried pressure. 2 hour Clubhouse class adds a circle time for music, Swiss ball fitness, stories, or games, plus a time for art exploration and a time to wash and eat the healthy snack you provide. Children complete a sequence of skills using the various professional tumbling apparatus within our gym. Our classes teach children fundamental tumbling and fitness skills while improving balance, strength, flexibility, and coordination.
Do children go in the maze during class? When children arrive they are immediately drawn to the fun of the maze. Children have approximately 15 minutes of maze time per hour of class. Many early gym and gymnastics programs include a time to climb, crawl, jump, and slide. Our program uses our Rumble Zone Maze to improve these gross motor skills while promoting fun fitness. Kids love this part of their class. We love that they get a great work out and improve their motor development. Our play system bolsters social confidence as well. We love to see children connect and form friendships inside the maze. Listen and you’ll hear, “Wait for me!” or “How do I get there?” or “Let’s go down the slide together.” or “That was fun!” Kids are happy and excited and learning to reach out and connect with others in an environment that feels non-threatening and familiar.
What is the background of your coaches? We value coaches who are physically fit and energetic, as well as healthy, kind, and knowledgeable of child development. At the fundamental level of coaching, we believe it is most important for our coaches to have a heart for the children, as well as a solid understanding and ability to safely execute our developmental tumbling, fitness and play program.
As the director, I hold a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and English Education. Many have a degree or credits in education and/or a strong coaching background. We believe that people are our most important resource and we want the best for your child.
How do classes meet a child's individual needs? At Rumble Tumble, we recognize variations in ability. We do not expect all children to perform activities in the same manner or with the same ability. Our organized sequence of steps enables us to provide every child with a challenge to fit his or her current skill level. Coaches develop the class based on the ability of the majority, but can sufficiently adapt skills to meet the needs of children on the lower and more advanced level of steps.
What are your expectations for child participation? What if my child does not meet these expectations? Children are expected to participate and stay with his/her class and follow the direction of the coach. Coaches will ask a disruptive child to sit and observe the class until he/she is ready to participate and follow the direction of the coach. If a child complies, a coach will keep it positive and not draw attention to the issue. If a child is unwilling to comply, is unwilling to participate and/or is potentially harmful to self or others, a parent must return to Rumble Tumble immediately to address the needs of the child. A parent or caretaker must stay on site until child, parent and coach agree the child is able to participate and stay with his/her class and follow the direction of the coach.
Can I try a class before enrolling? Yes if class space is available, those new to Rumble Tumble may try one class at the participant rate. When you enroll in a 10 week session within 3 days of your trial, your next class will be free. Offer valid only on new class enrollments with coupon or code at time of first trial class. You may not hold a spot in the class until enrollment is fulfilled. No exceptions. Print offer or mention code: FREE2ndCLASS
Do parents need to stay for the class? Once a child is 3 years old, a parent may leave during a class provided the child is able to stay with his/her class and follow the direction of the coach. If a child is unwilling to participate or potentially harmful to himself or others, a parent must return to Rumble Tumble immediately to address the needs of the child.
What if my plans change? Can I get a refund? We understand that schedules change and not every program is right for every child. However, Without Exception Our Policy Is As Follows: Member Registration Fee in Non Refundable at ANY time. After start of 2nd class, 2 weeks notice is required when withdrawing from a class and tuition is due for those weeks. Remaining tuition is refundable only in the form of gym credit to be used within one year of withdraw.
Are your classes prorated? Can I join at anytime? Our classes are prorated and you may join at any time. However, after week 5, we require you to add the remaining weeks to the next 10 week session or wait for the next 10 week session to start.
What is the typical class size? Can we arrange a semi-private or private class? Classes generally have up to 8 children or more with an additional coach or assistant. 'Mommy/Daddy & Me' can have more with one coach because of the one-to-one ratio of parent and child. Classes need a minimum of 3 to run for the session or a semi-private (+25%) or private (+35%) rate is charged. Private classes are not guaranteed private use of Rumble Tumble.
